A summary of Shigella AMR surveillance in New Zealand from 2015-2024 highlighting the increase in drug resistance in recent years. These predictions were generated by whole genome sequencing. Also presented was ciprofloxacin resistance and how it relates to the country of travel where the disease was acquired, highlighting a lack of resistance in small Pacific Islands.
